Doors located on protected fire routes, doors to restrict the passage of smoke and final fire exit doors should all be inspected periodically to ensure that they function correctly and to the standard that they were originally intended when installed.

To achieve this, inspections should be of a minimum of once per annum up to monthly, the frequency of each doors inspection should be dictated by its assessed use, the criticality of the area or who it protects.

It is a statutory requirement that these inspections are carried out to ensure that all doors are working as they should be and that all of these inspections are properly recorded in accordance with Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) order 2005, Part 2, Article 17.

Fire safety Services offer a full inspection and repairs service to help you comply with these requirements.
