Fire Safety Services has selected Whizz Kidz as their chosen charity.
What does Whizz Kidz do?
Whizz-Kidz sets disabled children free to reach their true potential and live their lives to the full. They provide mobility equipment to give kids the chance to be independent. They run youth groups, wheelchair skills training, residential camps and work placements, allowing young disabled people to gain skills, make friends and become confident wheelchair users.

How are Fire Safety Services supporting Whizz Kidz?
Charity Golf Days
Part of the fund raising activities has included annual charity golf days at Pavenham Park Golf Club in Bedfordshire. For the past couple of years the golf days have been extremely well supported by many people from a variety of local organisations. Since starting the events (back in 2015) we have raised thousands of £s for this worthy cause.
Supporting one of the days was Geoff Swain the current world golf trick shot champion! Geoff won the title back in 2006 and is still the reigning champion. Unsurprisingly, playing off scratch, Geoff parred the course at Pavenham and won the gross cup!

David’s Personal Dedication
Since 2012 David Murfitt, Managing Director at Fire Safety Services, has raised over £40,000 for charities including Whizz-Kidz, Macmillan Cancer Research and British Heart Foundation.
Since 2015, David has personally pledged to raise sponsorship money for Whizz-Kids. He has taken part in many challenges over the past couple of years. On 30th July this year, he cycled the Ride London-Surrey bike race which he completed in 6 hours 7 minutes (ride time). The on Sunday 10th September he ran in the Great North Run, along with 60,000 people, which was the final part of his 2017 Challenge in aid of Whizz-Kidz.
Watch this this space for the 2018 Challenge!
